Malcolm Turnbull was the 29th Prime Minister of Australia. Prior to entering politics he enjoyed successful careers as a lawyer, investment banker and journalist.

With a robust career spanning over four decades in dentistry, Dr Per Rehnberg’s expertise stretches across selling private healthcare services and products directly to customers, as well as leading operations in large corporations with workforces exceeding 800 employees. Dr Rehnberg’s international experience includes working with Dental Service Organisations (DSOs) across 13 countries. His journey has been marked by a spectrum of experiences, from learning through a lot of mistakes to achieving notable successes.

As a dentist, Dr Rehnberg founded and managed his own practices in Sweden for over 15 years. He then progressed to the role of COO for 5.5 years at Sweden's largest private healthcare provider, Praktikertjänst, overseeing 1,200 clinics and laboratories and driving revenues to $430M. As the CEO of Colosseum Dental for 3.5 years, Dr Rehnberg was instrumental in the company's growth across Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, achieving revenues from $50-100M. Later, as CEO of Sno Clinics for 4 years, he developed a greenfield brand concept, establishing high-end clinics in Abu Dhabi, now offering services in dentistry, asthma/allergy treatment, psychiatry, and dermatology/surgery. Dr Rehnberg’s latest role as Head of Digitalisation for the Colosseum Dental Group in Zurich has seen the expansion from 7 to 12 countries. Additionally, he serves as a board member for several dental companies.

Away from the corporate world, Dr Rehnberg is a family man with three daughters who have started their own journeys. His passions include good food, cherishing time with family and friends, and engaging in water sports like kite surfing and sailing. He is also an avid outdoors person and has completed 6 Ironman triathlons.

Dr Lydia Lim is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Sydney. Dr Lim graduated from Sydney University and then completed her specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training in Sydney followed by a surgical fellowship in the United States at the University of Texas. Dr Lim is involved in the training of future OMFS surgeons through her role as the Head of Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at Westmead Hospital and she is also a consultant OMFS surgeon at the Children's Hospital at Westmead. Dr Lim is an Honorary Associate at the University of Sydney and is involved in teaching orthognathic surgery to the post-graduate orthodontic program. Dr Lim is the principal of Sydney Oral and Facial Surgery a group private practice based in Chatswood, Sydney.

Dr. Omar Ikram graduated from Otago University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. He also obtained a Masters of Clinic Dentistry at Guys Hospital in Endodontics.
Dr. Omar has served as an examiner for the Final exams at the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and has held leadership positions such as Secretary-Treasurer for the NSW branch of the Australian Society of Endodontology. He has contributed to the dental literature as a reviewer for journals like the Australian Endodontic Journal and the Malaysian Dental Journal. He has achieved significant milestones, such as passing MClinDent and MRD in endodontology with merit, and having a paper published in the International Endodontic Journal.
Dr Omar has also co-created a smartphone and tablet App called ENDOPREP to aid in education and pre-planning of endodontic cases. These tools have built in the American Academy of Endodontists criteria to warn the operator of impending difficulty.
Throughout his career, he has earned accolades and invitations for distinction oral examinations, showcasing his exceptional performance and commitment to excellence.

Amna Karra-Hassan is passionate about how people enact change at all levels of society.

The Founder of the Auburn Giants Australian Football Club, Amna pioneered programs for women of minority communities in Western Sydney. As a woman, an Australian and a Muslim, Amna’s journey wasn’t an easy one. Dr Richard “Harry” Harris has worked in anaesthesia, diving and aeromedical medicine around the world. His passion for cave diving goes back to the 1980’s and has taken him to the corners of the globe in search of new adventures.

Harry has a professional and voluntary interest in search and rescue operations, establishing the first flooded cave rescue capability in Australasia. The 2018 Thailand cave rescue was an opportunity to put this training to work.

In 2018 he received the Star of Courage, Australia’s second highest civilian award for bravery, and the medal of the Order of Australia for his role in the Thailand cave rescue. Harry was the joint 2019 Australian of the Year with his dive partner Craig Challen.

He is now primarily working as a speaker, author and film maker. Harry is an advocate for sensible risk taking in young people, encouraging youth to get off their screens and outside to build independence, resilience and improved mental health.

As an Australian writer and comedian, Craig Reucassel is best known for his work on The Chaser, as well as his declared ‘War on Waste’. Fast-paced and intelligent, Craig is an effective and in-demand MC, facilitator and host. 

Alongside several friends, Craig founded The Chaser newspaper in 1999, which ultimately lead to numerous Chaser programs featuring on the ABC, including 'The Election Chaser', 'CNNNN', 'The Chaser's War on Everything', 'Yes We Canberra' and 'The Hamster Wheel'.

Dr. Bharat Agrawal completed his Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Graduate Diploma of Dentistry at Griffith University, graduating with multiple final year awards. His Masters dissertation in Aesthetic Dentistry at Kings College in London examined the effectiveness and longevity of take-home dentist prescribed tray bleaching techniques combined with a clinical audit. He has presented on tooth whitening, digital workflows, the alignment-restorative interface, and the provision of Invisalign with a key focus on minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry. In 2018, his report on combination aesthetic treatments was selected for publication by Invisalign. Dr. Agrawal is actively involved in mentoring and teaching recent graduates. Currently in private practice on the Gold Coast, he is passionate about the paradigm shift towards minimally invasive approaches to comprehensive smile makeovers.

Gina is a pharmacist and pharmacy educator. She completed her PhD at the University of Queensland in 2012 and has worked as a lecturer and course coordinator for undergraduate and post-graduate pharmacy students. She was instrumental in developing and leading a work-based learning program for pharmacy interns as well as developing a credentialing program for clinical educators. Gina is also a dental practice owner and business manager for two dental practices in Melbourne.

Dr Joseph Badr is the Founder and CEO of Australia's leading sustainable at-home oral healthcare brand, Dsmile.
He is also the Founder and Principal Dentist of Australia's first dental spa, D-spa. Launched over 20 years ago, D-spa is a multi-location group of innovative hygiene-based dental clinics - which specialise in general and cosmetic dentistry, with a focus on preventive care. Dr Badr also founded The Dsmile Care Foundation to provide free dental advice and services to Australians who do not have access to regular dental care.

Since 1996, David Barnard has been in full-time specialist Endodontic practice in Castle Hill in northwestern Sydney after graduating with a MDSc in Endodontics from Melbourne University.
He has been a part-time Lecturer in Endodontics at Sydney University and is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at both Charles Stuart and La Trobe Universities.

Rebecca Bateson is an Acting Director in the Devices Emerging Technology and Diagnostics Section, currently serving as the project lead responsible for the introduction of the suite of reforms known as the personalised medical devices framework. Rebecca has a background in Law and a Master’s in Public Administration. She has been with the TGA for 12 years, where her work has included managing the Medical Devices Information Unit and the Devices Secretariat.

Rebecca is passionate about the development of strategic solutions and resources for both internal and external stakeholders to improve day-to-day business at the TGA. She has utilised her skills to draft legislative instruments, develop associated guidance to make regulatory requirements understandable and accessible for stakeholders, and worked with staff within the TGA to develop sound structures to streamline processes and improve service delivery. In 2016, Rebecca’s commitment to stakeholder engagement was recognised with the Department of Health’s Australia Day Award for Service.

Dr. Yo-Han Choi completed his Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Queensland with Honours. His special interests lie in restorative and aesthetic dentistry, and he is nearing completion of his MClinDent (Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics) program through Kings College in London. Dr Choi has presented on aesthetic anterior and posterior composite restorations and is a clinical trainer for the Australasian Academy of Dentofacial Aesthetics (AADFA). He is currently in private practice in Sydney and is passionate about mentoring and teaching recent graduates. He has a keen interest in digital workflows and minimally invasive approaches to aesthetic dentistry.

Dr Bevan Chong completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Otago in 2005 and his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) at the University of Sydney in 2013. A/Prof Mark Evans obtained his Bachelor of Dental Science degree from the University of Melbourne in 1990. He then served as a Dental Officer with the RAAF before entering private general practice. He completed his specialist training in 2001 and has been in full-time specialist practice ever since.

Mark is also heavily involved in teaching postgraduate students (specialist in training) at the University of Melbourne and he was appointed as an examiner for the Australian Dental Council in 2001, a role he held until 2015. He has lectured nationally and internationally and has published several articles in local and international medical and dental journals. He has also been awarded Fellowships with the Pierre Fauchard Academy, The Academy of Dentistry International and The International College of Dentists for his work in the dental profession.

Mark has served with the Australian Dental Association on several committees, as well as ADA State Branch Council. He also served as Secretary of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontics and was a committee member of the Australian Society of Endodontology (Vic Branch) for over ten years. Mark maintains a busy teaching schedule at Melbourne University and is heavily involved in continuing education for the dental profession.

Mark was appointed Clinical Associate Professor of Endodontics at the University of Melbourne in 2016.

With over 20 years in the Dental Industry and always involved in Dental Education, Dr Fabio Fowler (BDS, University of Sao Paulo) had the opportunity to interact and learn directly from some of the great names in our field and to experience Dentistry from many different perspectives: from clinical to business, from scientific theory and lab tests to practical applications. Chris Kelly (CERT DT. ADV CERT DP. GradCertScMed(SleepMedicine) USyd) has been a Dental Prosthetist for more than 20 years. Chris completed the Fundamentals of Sleep Medicine course held at Sydney University in 2012. This week-long intensive course is an in-depth journey into the field of sleep medicine. He furthered this education at the University of Sydney with a Science of Sleep Medicine postgraduate certificate. He has participated in presentations about OSA and Sleep Medicine from a dental perspective.

Greg has held a number of academic positions with the University of Queensland and Sydney. Prof. Spahr is the Director of Oral Rehabilitation and Head of the Discipline Periodontics, as well as Deputy Head of School at The University of Sydney Dental School.

Prof. Spahr is the former Head of Periodontics at the University of Ulm in Germany and has also worked at various international universities and research facilities. He has additional training in microbiology, molecular biology, extensive experience in basic science research, animal research and clinical research. His research interests include periodontal regeneration, bone regeneration, periodontitis and systemic diseases, antimicrobial therapy as well as dental implants and peri-implant diseases. Suma Sukumar completed her undergraduate training in Adelaide and has completed her postgraduate specialist training in the field of Oral Medicine/Oral Pathology in Sydney. She currently works as a Staff Specialist in Oral Medicine (Westmead Centre for Oral Health) and a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney. She is involved in clinical and academic teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate dental students as well as mentoring junior dentists in the dental management of complex medical patients and mucosal pathology. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and has been an invited Examiner in Histology and Pathology for the Primary examination and an invited Examiner in Oral Medicine for the Final Section of the General Stream. Suma is a Fellow of the Oral Medicine Academy of Australasia.

Dr Nour Tarraf completed his Bachelor of Dentistry at Cairo University with Honours in 2001, followed by an Orthodontic residency at Cairo University. He moved to Sydney in 2005 and completed a Masters Degree in Orthodontics at the University of Sydney in 2008 with Honours. Whilst there, he received the University Award for the best overall postgraduate performance in the Masters Degree at the Faculty of Dentistry.
He is one of Sydneys leading practitioners of lingual Incognito. In 2016 he became a member of the European Society of Lingual Orthodontics and is currently the only Australian member with only 260 specialists worldwide. Likewise, in 2017 he became the first and only Australian orthodontist to become a member of the World Society of Lingual Orthodontics a select group of only 250 members worldwide.

Dr Diane Tay is a specialist paediatric dentist, who graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours). After working in both private and public sectors in Sydney, Diane went on to pursue her passion in paediatric dentistry, successfully attaining a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry from The University of Sydney in 2013. Her research thesis was based on frenotomies and its effectiveness on infants with tongue-ties and feeding difficulties. She has also completed a diploma in child health. Diane is a visiting specialist at The Children's Hospital at Westmead where she thoroughly enjoys managing a range of cases in which her main clinical interests lie; the management of special needs and medically complex children, paediatric oral medicine and pathology and dental trauma. Andrew Terry is a Senior Lecturer in Dental Hygiene working at The University of Sydney with both the Bachelor of Oral Health (BOH) and the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) programs since August 2015 where he teaches Periodontal instrumentation/screening and Oral Hygiene with iTOP (Individually Oral health Prophylaxis) education. Andrew also still works in private practice every Friday.
He first qualified as a Dental Therapist in QLD, Australia in 1993, then as a Dental Hygienist in London, U.K in 1998. When working in Switzerland, he ratified his qualifications with the Swiss red cross to attain the protected title of Dip. Dental Hygienist of Higher Education.

Dr. Lan Tran graduated from the University of Queensland in 1995 and moved to her own private practice in 1998. Since then she has undertaken numerous courses in Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry, Pain Management and Endodontics. He then spent the next four years in the United States having completed additional post-graduate training before returning to his hometown of Sydney. Dr Geoff is a principal general dentist. He is actively involved in operating two dental practices in Penrith and Riverstone, NSW. He has a keen interest in cosmetic, restorative, orthodontic and CADCAM dentistry along with smile design. Dr Geoff is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the Australian Dental Association and a member of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. Melissa is a specialist Paediatric Dentist, having obtained her Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (Paediatric Dentistry) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Honours, from the University of Sydney.Melissa is a Senior Staff Specialist at the Childrens Hospital at Westmead, where she is involved in the multi-disciplinary management of children with complex medical needs. Her interests are in public health, dental trauma, dentistry for children with additional needs, and behaviour management for anxious children.Melissa is involved in the teaching of dental and medical students at the University of Sydney, Charles Sturt University and University of New South Wales. Melissa has always enjoyed volunteering her time both at home and abroad, with organisations such as the Angkor Hospital for Children in Cambodia, Special Olympics Australia and Lifeline. She is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, in recognition of her contribution to the profession and the oral health of the community. 

Dr Susan Wise graduated as a dentist from the University of Melbourne in 1994. She worked as a general dentist for 5 years before moving to Brisbane in 2000. Susan studied periodontics a the University of Queensland and was awarded a Masters of Dental Science (Periodontics) in 2002. Susan's Specialist Periodontal practice is in Melbourne.

Susan is the President of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and Co-Chairs the Australian Dental Health Foundation Victoria. She is a Past President of the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch and the Australian Society of Periodontology Victorian. Susan has been a demonstrator for and examined undergraduate and postgraduate students in periodontics. Susan is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, International College of Dentistry and Academy of Dentistry International. She was awarded the Australian Dental Association Valuable Service Award in 2021 for her services to dentistry.
